Contrary to a common assumption, human trafficking is not just a problem in other countries. It is a serious problem in the United States and through out the world. Cases of human trafficking have been reported in all 50 states. Victims of human trafficking can be children or adults, U.S. citizens or foreign nationals, male or female.

Human trafficking is one of the world’s most depraved criminal practices. Most people do not know how often it happens, including here in the U.S.

Annually, an estimated 200,000-300,000 children in the U.S. are at risk for commercial sexual exploitation within our borders.
